Cori specializes in treating children as young as 3 years old using Play Therapy, preteens, adolescents, and adults with anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Cori helps you articulate your concerns and uses a variety of techniques to address them. She is trained in the treatment of trauma in adults and young children.

Cori believes trust and collaboration are essential in the therapeutic process and provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to focus on your unique experiences. She works with you to identify strengths, set goals, and develop a plan of action. Cori’s goal is to be a source of encouragement and support throughout your journey. As a African American female, Cori prioritizes education that highlights the multicultural aspects of BIPOC individuals.

Cori is kind, open-minded, and easy to talk to, which makes beginning therapy easy. She is very goal-oriented with a focus on assisting you to clearly identify what you want from therapy. She creates a space where you can identify emotional triggers, improve response to stressors, and confront blocks that hinder personal growth. Her style is very focused on the relationship and rapport she develops with each individual client. Cori also treats life transitions, anxiety, depression, academic stress, grief, PTSD, and self-esteem. In her work with children, she specializes in behavioral issues, ADHD, and peer-relationship skills.  She uses a variety of approaches to help parents learn how to effectively implement healthy parenting skills for their children.

She explores the negative beliefs surrounding your expectations, goals, values, and how you view yourself. Cori then incorporates various activities that help replace those self-limiting beliefs with self-acceptance, patience, compassion, motivation, and drive. She boosts your confidence and enables you to understand the importance of being kind to yourself. Cori can also provide faith-based Christian counseling upon request.
