We all know our children are facing difficulties in today’s society, some more severe than others. It’s hard for a child to positively navigate life when feeling anxious, hopeless or angry. At the same time, it’s difficult for parents to know how to help their child in today’s messy and unforgiving landscape. I aim to create a warm, caring, and judgment free space where all my clients feel unconditionally supported. I believe everyone is an expert in their own life and has the capacity to change.
At times, life can be hard, unfair, and downright messy. I know this first hand. As a father of two amazing children, an experienced teacher, and school counselor, I have a strong understanding of the difficult situations our children, teens, and even parents, are facing. I am not arrogant enough to claim I can fix them. However, I’m confident that I’ll provide the skills, courage, and understanding needed to improve their current and future selves.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and received my Masters of Education in Counseling and Development from Lamar University. I use evidence-based practices such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), play therapy, and family therapy to help children and adults reach their full potential.
If you, or your child, are ready to embark on a journey of healing and growth, then take your first step by calling me. No one should do life alone. Let’s do it together!
